So I want to buy some jewelry from Omerica Organic and a Whittling Knife from Opiknife. Don’t worry though, my parents are fully aware that I want these things and they’re fine with it. The problem is is that something’s up with our credit cards, so we’ve been having to use straight cash to buy things. So lets say I wanted to buy something online, but cannot get a credit card. How would I do this? I tried using a gift card, but they just get denied.

Would it be acceptable to send a gift to someone who I haven’t seen or talked to in several months? I’m contemplating sending him an Organic Fruit Basket from Harry & David for Christmas, but I’m not sure if it would be odd to send it out of the blue and make for an uncomfortable situation. I’d like for it to be a surprise. After all, it is the thought that counts. Please let me know what you think. Thank you.

Personally, I’d very much enjoy a gift out of the blue from an old friend. If you’re just sending it to be nice, then something like a fruit basket sounds like a perfect idea. It’s simple, friendly, and not too personal all at the same time, so it won’t be awkward. If you’d like to set up some type of communication with your friend though, or if you’re trying to get close with that friend again then I’d suggest sending him something a bit more thoughtful. A letter with baseball tickets for the two of you would be nice, in my opinion. My friend actually did that exact thing a few years back, we hadn’t talked in about 8 months and he sent those as an early Birthday present. We’ve been going to the local pub every week together since. I hope my opinions have helped.

I need ideas for these type of gifts. Nothing food-related. Also, any gifts that give a portion to charity would be awesome! This is for a man, so nothing girly, but he likes turquoise jewelry so anything not too feminine in turquoise would be awesome. If you don’t have a specific idea but know of a website that has these type of gifts, please post it! Thanks so much!
Also, he loves animals and has a dog so anything in that category would work as well.

(3) Preferably fair trade.
