I am currently Majoring in Business and Environmental Studies, and my city is seeing a population boom, but we only have 3 or 4 good health food stores, and they are all under 3000sqft. I am steadily working on business plans, but then name itself just isn’t coming to me. It will be a large scale store with natural local produce, the latest organic foods, herbs, and vitamins, as well as clothing, bedding, office supplies, maybe even furniture.

You know how when you buy organic broccoli it is almost always crawling with gray aphids that are jammed in between the tightly packed florets at the top? How in the heck do you get those little guys out of there?! I’m too freaked out to eat organic broccoli at this point; I’d rather risk the pesticides than eat bugs. Help.

aphids would never hurt you even if you ate them… but if you let the broccolli soak totally submerged in water for any length of time (5-10 mins), the aphids will die and float to the top

I might be moving to Manhattan in the fall for College, I’ll be loving on my own in a studio apartment and not in a dorm. So I was wondering where are some good places to grocery shop for healthy and organic foods within Manhattan? I know about the farmers market in Union Square and that there is a Whole Foods store somewhere around there. But are there any other places I should check out?

14th street off 5th ave whole foods is on 6th ave by 23rd street

What are some organic clothing stores?
